Sherpa secures SOC 2 Type 2 accreditation

Sherpa has completed its SOC 2 Type 2 audit, achieving one of the world’s highest information security compliance standards. The audit, developed by the American Institute of CPAs, validates a service company’s internal controls around information security.

The company worked with Secureframe and Insight Assurance to review internal controls covering policies, procedures, infrastructure, data security, access control, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.

Max Tremaine, co-founder and CEO, commented: “Information security is one of the highest priorities for our airline and travel industry partners, and we believe our relationships with our partners must be built on trust. This report demonstrates that our policies and infrastructure meet or exceed SOC 2 criteria.”

Sherpa announced SOC 2 Type 1 accreditation in February 2022, with Type 2 representing the next level of assurance. The Toronto-based company serves major travel brands including American Airlines, Air Canada, and British Airways across more than 50 countries.
